I'm reading this book called Ignore Everybody And 39 Other Keys To Creativity by Hugh MacLeod. Though it's not the most gripping thing I've ever read, he does make some very good points.

In tip #7, he states that "everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten. Then when you hit puberty they take the crayons away and replace them with dry, uninspiring books on algebra, history, etc. Being suddenly hit years later with the 'creative bug' is just a wee voice telling you, "I'd like my crayons back, please."

So I guess that's what I'm saying. I want my crayons back.

Alright, I'm not nearly as diligent with this as I should be. I know that. On Thursday, a 19 year old Jordanian terrorist tried to blow up the building across the street from me. The FBI foiled the attempt, but still, it's kind of freaky . . . and a little scary. Anyway, here's a picture of the building that I took not too long ago. Good thing it's still standing.

OK, so yeah, it's been a while. Been busy. Too busy. Went to the park and took some shots of a co-worker and her daughter. Haven't processed those yet . . . but I've got to post something, so here we go.

So this past weekend, I had to work, but I really wanted to take pictures. So using my infinite wisdom, I brought the mountain to Mohammed and brought the camera to work (even though it violates possibly every clause of the confidentiality agreement). Whatever, I was taking pictures out the window and not of the room itself.

So on a break I went downstairs to take some shots out and around the building. I got yelled at by the security guard and possibly suspected of terrorism. Apparently, this makes me a terrorist. Albeit, obviously not a bright one, cause I'd like to think terrorists were more subtle . . . with cameras hidden in pens and other James Bond kinda stuff . . . not lugging around a Nikon with a 300mm lens on it, but I digress. My plan was to come back and get the same shot at night . . . but for fear of being arrested, I decided not to push my luck.






So yeah, that's it for now. Back to work . . . cause, well, I'm posting this from work.
